MUNICH born MAX GREGER was one of a number of BANDLEADERS recording for POLYDOR RECORDS during the POSTWAR ERA. The GERMAN COMPANY issued a plethora of 12'' LP's for the EASY LISTENING market, including numerous offering from the likes of BERT KAEMPFERT, JAMES LAST, KURT EDELHAGEN and ROBERTO DELGADO. GREGER specialised in STRICT-TEMPO recordings for the practice and performance of BALLROOM DANCING. The material chosen could be wide ranging and would often include POP HITS of the day, each denoted with an appropriate category of dance and tempo. On occasion, even UK GLAM ROCK numbers could be found and GREGER's 1972 - STRICTLY FOR DANCING LP is a case in point.
